Dance/Movement Therapist

DTAA (Prof. DMT),

MSc & PGDip Sc. in Psychology,

Dip in Supervision (Health/Social Ser. Professionals)

Hello! I'm Elyse!
Are you ready to DANCE?

Drawing from both clinical science and creative arts,

I am a registered Dance/Movement Therapist accredited by

the Dance Movement Therapy Association of Australasia (DTAA).

My work supporting individuals with mental health & disabilities

has deepened my commitment to exploring holistic and individualised

therapeutic experiences that best meet each person’s unique needs,

honoring their inner world and unspoken stories.

My vision in life is to foster meaningful transformation—

helping individuals find strength, connection, and freedom through the art of movement.

My journey began where I supported children and teens with Autism/neurodiverse needs.

Over time, I expanded my expertise and emigrated to New Zealand,

where I continued my training in psychology (behavioural analysis) and DMT.

I now work with adults incorporating trauma-informed approaches

to better support their healing and growth.

With a 11 years of experience in the health and disability sector,

I have served as lead therapist for Dance Therapy New Zealand,

Niu Ola Trust, Ministry of Education, offering 1:1 therapy session,

professional clinical DMT supervision,

and currently supporting the postgraduate DMT programme

at the University of Auckland.
